Balls, Pins, Flares, and Water

Yippee!! Friday night I went bowling with some friends.. and we got to do "Extreme Bowling"! It was cool, with the blacklights and automated luminaires... and us extremely sucking. :) We only got in one game before we had to take one guy back, then we couldn't decide what to do with the rest of the night, so we went BACK to the lanes and played 3 more games of normal bowling. My highest scores were 136 and 132. I forget what the 3rd one was.

Then yesterday I went down to my sister's lake house and we participated in the "Ring of Fire" where everyone around the lake lights flares at 9pm. It looks pretty cool - would've been cooler if it wasn't so foggy though. Some people do bonfires too... we just had a campfire for doing smores... but about a mile down the lake we could see a huge bonfire... it was impressive enough when they first lit it... but then it grew like 4 times its size! We began to wonder if someone's boat house had caught fire. :) So we took our boat down the lake to look at it, and found that it was just a huge bonfire after all. Like 20 grand pianos worth of wood or something... By the time we got to it, it had smoldered down to a pile of coals about 3 or 4 feet high and 20 or 30 feet in diameter... it looked like a lava flow. Awesome. :)

I also went swimming in the lake last night a little... alone... well someone else went in alone right before me but she got out and joined the crowd around our fire by the time I got in. So I just swam out to the floating dock and did a cannonball off it, then realized I'm not in good enough shape to be swimming around alone without a little support so I grabbed a noodle and swam up and down the property with it. :) I love swimming. I wish I could do it more so I WOULD be in shape.

But now I'm back, cuz I thought my friends were planning something for tonight, but I haven't heard anything yet. *sigh*
