I'm still at my sister's lake house. Last night was the Ring of Fire around Canandaigua Lake.

Today I went tubing alone in the new 3-seater tube while all the wimps stayed in the boat to watch. A few times I thought for sure I was going in the water, but I didn't. I actually kind of wanted to because I was already soaked from a few splashes anyway and the wind was cold but the water was warm. My sister said she got some pictures of me from the boat with my camera, but I haven't looked at them yet. If they're any good I'll be sure to post them.

After I was done tubing we went for a leisurely cruise up to Danny Wegman's house and back, then crashed the boat into a cement wall. My sister was driving and tried to throw it into reverse to slow down the approach, but it stalled instead and she couldn't get it started again before the tip of the bow rammed straight into the cement wall next to the boat lift. Looks pretty bad, but Vic says he can fix it... he's just not thrilled about the work. (He had the same problem with reverse the first time he took me out in the boat right after they got it, but he wasn't headed straight into the wall and I was able to sort of catch it for him anyway so there wasn't any damage.)

Later Vic and I went and played a set of tennis. He won 6-1. But then we played a tiebreaker too just for the heck of it, and because I had never played one before so I wanted the experience. I had a 2-point lead many times but in the end he beat me 9-7.

Tomorrow I'm going along (hopefully, if I wake up in time) when they pick up their new party boat. It's one of those flat deck things on pontoons with a canopy over part of it and lots of leather-like plastic seats. It even has a changing room that folds out. Pretty fancy, but not at all masculine. ;)

Guess I'll get to bed now though. Last night I finished the chapter of HP&TSS where Harry goes to bed at Hogwarts for the first time, before going to bed myself.

Amazing Maize Maze

I forgot to mention we did that yesterday, too. Elizabeth and I finished in an hour and 15 minutes with 9 out of 12 pieces of the map. Mom, Kate & Emily finished about 10 minutes later but had completed their map. Fun for all. Oh yeah, the theme was "100 'Ears' of Flight". :-P

Mental note - they have a volleyball net there (on grass) ... something to keep in mind if a bunch of people from RIT want to go like they have in previous years, since many of them also like to play volleyball. :)

When I got up this morning it was raining. So we party boat plans were tossed out. They don't actually get it until tomorrow, but they were going to rent it today just so we could go out in it before we came home. But it looked like it would rain all day, so we just came home.

Oh, my sister had a whole bunch of videos that her mother-in-law was getting rid of and I got to pick a few. I couldn't just take them all and figure out which ones were any good later, because she wanted to offer them to other people as well. So I had to choose quickly. I probably missed some good ones simply because I knew nothing about them. I picked these that I recognized...

American Psycho
Body Chemistry 2
Enemy Of The State
The Hand That Rocks The Cradle
The Man Who Knew Too Little
Men Of Honor
What Women Want

How did I do? hehe
