Some idiot keeps making new Yahoo usernames to spam me with IMs trying to get me to visit their site. All the usernames follow a specific format, so it's easy to spot them, but unfortunately you can't add a format filter to Yahoo's ignore list, so each one gets through once. These are the names they've used so far. Does anyone else get these?

THen they request to be added to your friends list, that's all. I've had that occur many times. They just can't start sending you chat messages, that's all. Once you add them, they're all set. The system will allow that request to go through, just not a bunch of annoying messages.

Ah, good to know. :)

None of them were "a bunch of annoying messages." Like telemarketer calls, they tend not to say much until you acknowledge that you're listening, probably because a computer sends the initial "r u there?"
