Weird Poll Results

This is strange... The daily "Quick Vote" on CNN.com today asks "Should President Bush consider the pope's opinion when making a decision on embryonic stem cell research?"

I'm not a religious person at all, but I think he should consider the pope's opinion simply for the sake of considering all opinions. You don't have to agree with someone's opinion to consider it in making your own decision. But I do think you should always consider all opinions on an issue. So I voted "Yes." And I expected the majority of the voters to also say yes for more of a religious reason. But much to my surprise, 2/3 of the voters are saying no!

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd say someone should listen to the pope while a majority of people say he shouldn't. I've grown up accustomed to being less religious than the world around me.

I think all the "no" votes are a knee jerk reaction to politics and religion not being inter-twined.
